Frequently Asked Questions
MFSWA is a Muslim community-based organization that operates on a cost-sharing model. After paying the membership and administration fees, the only other payments made by a member are when a MFSWA member passes away by the will of Allah Swt. For example: if a member passes away and it costs $12,500 and we have 300 members then the cost share of each member will be $12,500/299 = $41.81. After the collection of $41.81 per principal member amounting to $12,500, MFSWA will use these funds to buy a new burial lot for its members.
The admin fee of $25 pays for expenses like website, domain and other IT related charges, as well other expenses.
No, we do not claim any death benefit from the government.
Yes, you can. However, a processing fee will be added for credit card payments.
No, as this adds additional maintenance and credit fees and increases the overhead for the organization. Our goal as an organization is to keep costs low. Credit cards add additional handling and costs (2% to 3.5% per transaction). ACH bank payments are one of the safest methods for security of account holders. These ACH transactions will be made through Stripe. MFSWA will not store any bank account information of its members.
